At Goodhill, we are committed to creating a workplace that values diversity, fairness and inclusion. Our HR practices are designed to promote fair treatment, equal opportunities, and a supportive environment for all employees.
Fair employment and HR practices
We believe in hiring the best talent through a fair and transparent process to ensure that all candidates are treated equitably. Our workplace encourages dialogue & we develop next generation leaders through training, mentorship and development so that our people can reach their full potential. Flexible work arrangements and various staff benefits are in place to support the well-being of our staff.
Gender Equality
At Goodhill, there is a culture of respect and inclusivity, one where we respect gender quality and ensure everyone has equal opportunities in career development and promotion. Our commitment to gender equality extends to various HR initiatives that support the professional development and well-being of our female employees.
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination and Harassment
Employees are treated fairly and we prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind. This applies to all aspects of employment, from recruitment to retirement.
Celebrating Together
One of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to employee well-being is through our celebration of various cultural and significant occasions, such as Khmer New Year and International Women’s Day, in addition to the popular Annual Dinner & Dance. These celebrations provide opportunities for our people to connect, relax and enjoy a sense of community within the workplace.
Community Engagement
Goodhill endeavours to making a positive impact on society through our corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) initiatives. By actively engaging with our community and supporting initiatives that address social and environmental challenges, we hope to contribute to building a more equitable and inclusive society that supports the well-being of individuals and communities.
Youth and Education
We have a long-standing commitment to youth and education. Our initiatives include donating computers to enhance digital literacy, curating specialised book collections and hosting educational workshops. These efforts aim to inspire and empower young people and play a part in supporting our country’s progress by nurturing the next generation.
Disaster and Pandemic Relief
In response to the floods that swept across parts of Cambodia in October 2020, Goodhill collaborated with the Singapore community to provide critical flood relief supplies to the Cambodian Red Cross. This humanitarian effort aimed to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the disaster. Furthermore during the COVID-19 pandemic, Goodhill played an active role in supporting national efforts to combat the virus. Beyond safeguarding our own employees and business, we contributed essential resources to hospitals, including testing equipment, personal protective equipment and essential supplies. By demonstrating solidarity with the Cambodian community during these challenging times, Goodhill has shown its commitment to corporate social responsibility as well as to fostering resilience and well-being.
Health and Safety
Improving lives and promoting good health & well-being
We bring quality products from brands around the world to the doorsteps of our consumers in Cambodia. In the process, we improve the quality of life for our consumers, whether it is through our health & hygiene products, environmentally-friendly electrical products, or our paper & stationery products that boost literacy. Several of our food products are curated to bring nutrition and promote wellness to our consumers.
Product Labelling
Informative product labelling empowers consumers to make informed decisions about their food consumption, which in turn enables them to make healthier dietary choices.
A Safe and Healthy Workplace
Goodhill is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our people. Our comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment (“HSE”) policy covers a wide range of areas and is translated into detailed Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”), work instructions and checklists to ensure consistent implementation. Thanks to the strong commitment from our management and employees, we maintain a 99.99% injury- and accident-free rate across all our divisions. Regular audits help us maintain high standards and identify areas for improvement.
